CREATOR RESOURCE · WORDPRESS HOSTING

Kinsta for a serious WordPress site: plans, limits and when it makes sense.

Kinsta is managed WordPress hosting aimed at sites where performance, security, support and operational simplicity matter more than finding the lowest monthly price. This guide separates what is included, what costs extra and which public plan fits which kind of project.

Prices and conditions checked on September 30, 2026. Kinsta can change plans, limits and promotions. Confirm the current conditions on the provider’s website before purchasing.

REAL-WORLD USE

Why Rythero can talk about Kinsta from real use

Rythero itself is not hosted on Kinsta. Its creator does use Kinsta for another long-running WordPress project, AlzheimerUniversal.eu. That distinction matters: this is not a claim that every creator needs Kinsta, but a recommendation informed by actual customer use.

What Kinsta is in 2026

Kinsta is now focused on managed WordPress hosting. Since February 2, 2026, application, database, static-site and object-storage services are managed through Sevalla, Kinsta’s PaaS platform.

When it can make sense for a music creator

A professional artist or label site

Your own domain, press kit, catalogue, store or membership area can become infrastructure rather than a temporary profile page.

A content-heavy WordPress project

If SEO, publishing, media, traffic spikes and reliable backups matter, managed hosting removes part of the server work.

Several sites or collaborators

Multi-site plans, staging, user roles and migrations are useful when a label, studio or small agency manages more than one WordPress site.

A site that already earns money

For a store, membership, lead-generation or editorial site, support and uptime can be worth more than saving a little on hosting.

For a small static artist page with little traffic, Kinsta may be more hosting than you need. Rythero would not choose a premium managed plan just to publish a one-page link hub.

Public plans and prices

Kinsta lets you choose a plan measured by monthly visits or monthly server bandwidth. Paired versions have the same price and storage/CDN allowance; the billing meter changes. Prices below are in USD and exclude tax.

Agency and Enterprise

Agency 40$450$4,500 · $375/mo750k / 500GB100GB1,500GB
Agency 60$675$6,750 · ≈$563/mo1.25M / 750GB150GB2,500GB
Enterprise starts at $500/month or $5,000 billed annually (displayed as $417/month on annual billing). Enterprise configurations are intended for business-critical WordPress workloads and may be customized with Sales.

The annual amount is billed upfront. Kinsta currently presents annual plans as two months off. The entry Single 20GB / Single 35k and WP 2 plans currently show a first month free for eligible new customers.

A practical way to choose

1

One established WordPress site

Start by comparing Single 20GB/35k with your real traffic, server bandwidth and storage. Do not choose only from Google Analytics visits because Kinsta has its own billing definitions.

2

Several sites

WP 2, WP 5, WP 10, WP 20 and WP 40 scale the number of WordPress installs and shared resources.

3

Client portfolio or agency

Agency 20/40/60 add larger site counts, storage and agency-oriented benefits.

4

Large or mission-critical operation

Use Enterprise or a custom configuration rather than forcing a smaller plan to absorb sustained overages.

What happens if you exceed the limits

Ordinary overages do not normally mean an immediate shutdown: Kinsta keeps sites running and bills the excess, with usage alerts available. Current standard overage rates are:

Visits$0.50 per 1,000 visits
Server bandwidth$0.50 per GB
CDN bandwidth$0.05 per GB
SSD disk space$2 per GB/month, prorated daily

Kinsta defines extreme overages separately and may require earlier payment or an upgrade in those cases. Monitor MyKinsta rather than waiting for the invoice.

Useful paid add-ons

These are optional. Add them when a real workload requires them, not pre-emptively.

Dedicated serverfrom $300/month
PHP performance$10 per additional 500 MB/month
External backups$2/site/month + $1/GB bandwidth
Backups every 6 hours$20/site/month
Hourly backups$100/site/month
Premium staging$20/environment/month
Redis caching$100/site/month
Reverse proxy$50/site/month
Extra disk space$20 per additional 20 GB/month
Additional WordPress site$30/site/month
Kinsta Automatic Updates$3/environment/month after the free first month

What Kinsta does not replace

Domain registration

Kinsta does not register domains. Keep the domain with a registrar and point it to Kinsta.

Mailbox hosting

Email inbox hosting is not included. Kinsta recommends a dedicated email provider.

A music distribution platform

WordPress hosting does not distribute releases to Spotify, Apple Music or other DSPs.

A developer or designer

Managed hosting handles infrastructure; it does not build a custom website or fix arbitrary third-party code for you.

RYTHERO CONTEXT

For musicians: what would I actually host there?

Your official website, catalogue pages, electronic press kit, tour information, long-form content, store or membership area are sensible candidates. Large audio masters and streaming delivery should normally live in services designed for media delivery rather than turning WordPress hosting into a substitute for a music platform.

DECISION CHECK

The decision in one sentence

Choose Kinsta when the website has become important enough that managed infrastructure, support, security and predictable tooling justify the premium. If the site is still a simple brochure, spend the difference on the project itself.
